The Institute of Education is a department within the Faculty of Education of the University of Cape Coast.
A Director heads it and is assisted by an Assistant Registrar as Secretary and a small secretarial staff. The Institute also has one Senior Member in charge of its Account. The Institute has nine lecturers who are responsible for the development and review of subject-specific teacher training curricula and who also conduct research in Education, and in particular Teacher Education. These lectures also have teaching responsibilities in the department as well as other departments of the Faculty of Education.
