Department of Mathematics & Science Education

The Department of Science and Mathematics Education is within the faculty of Education to provide leadership in Science and Mathematics Education in the country through teaching, research and curriculum development and training.

The Department offeres undergraduate, postgraduate, post diploma programmes in Science Education specifically (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science Education) as well as diploma and degree programmes in Health Science Education. The Health Science programme is conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Health.

Also, the Department provides professional education courses in Science Education for student enrolled in the sandwich programmes leading to the Postgraduate Diploma in Education. (PGDE)

Science and Mathematics content courses are also offered to students in the Departments of Primary and while Educational Technology was offered to all level 200 students of the Faculty.
